Design · Craftsmanship · Story
My mission at Tiboron Glass Design is to bring stories to life, to incorporate experience, imagination, and heart into each uniquely designed, finely handcrafted piece I create.
I work primarily in the foil method, since it gives me more opportunity for detail. I can incorporate foil and caming as well. Most of the time I use a combination of foil technique, glass painting, plating (the use of several layers of glass to create depth, texture and color), and decorative solder. With carefully placed lines and dimensions, I can enhance the design while maintaining the integrity and strength of the piece. And choosing quality glass, with its superior contrast and color, is paramount.
I welcome commissions and will work closely with you to bring your vision to light.
Commission Work
The majority of my work is commission, often from referrals, or those who have a connection to something special, like a place or beloved pet, they want incorporated into a stained glass art piece.
I start by creating a conversation with you about the project, listening to your story, looking at photos you might have, discussing types of glass, size requirements, framing options. I explain that during the creation process, I will provide photos of the piece in progress.
Once I’ve gathered enough information and answered your questions, I will go on to create and present for your approval a design that fits your vision and budget.
